Following the success of her first ever solo concert in 2010, jazz extraordinaire Junji Delfino returns with another showstopper, this time, to celebrate 51derful years of her scintillatingly lush life! Delight in an intimate evening of music brought to you by Malaysia’s first lady of jazz. Joining her on this new adventure are Malaysia’s foremost leaders in dance, Judimar Hernandez, Michael Voon & Pat Ibrahim and Jay Redza who is slowly but surely making a name for herself in the field of dance & photography. The hilariously incompetent pluck are not so much a classical trio as a classical mistake! Impossibly, they compete, argue, scheme, ridicule, dance, fight and seduce their way from Back to The Beatles. They play Brahms, Ravel and Vivaldi but in a way that would have the composers laughing in their graves! A classical recital that ends with a violin being set on fire?!! It’s true Musical Arson! VERISIMILITUDE - AT VALENTINE WILLIE FINE ART FROM JULY 20TH JULY THROUGH AUGUST 13, 2011
The exhibition uses the term ‘verisimilitude’, which are versions of truth as found in literature and the visual arts. The artist practices this notion of recreation as he attempts to highlight artificiality and the hierarchy of images within the practice of pop culture and contemporary art. In his artwork, the Indonesian artist destabilizes and parodies the familiar by questioning the status of paintings as well as the complex relationship between East, West and global sensibilities.Time: Monday - Friday / 12noon-8pm,Saturday / 12noon-6pm

ASIAN YOUTH ORCHESTRA AT DEWAN FILHARMONIK PETRONAS ON 9 & 10 OF AUGUST ,2011
Concert In Aid of Yayasan Jantung Malaysia. The internationally acclaimed Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) has chosen Kuala Lumpur as the launch city for its latest Southeast Asian tour. Making its debut at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), the AYO will perform two concerts under the direction of its founder and Artistic Director Richard Pontzious with guest violin virtuoso Stefan Jackiw.
